A poem inspired by the works of famous artists like Edvard Munch, Pablo Picasso, Peter Fendi and Vincent Van Gogh. All these artists and their respective artworks traverse the depths of human emotions like sadness, anxiety, grief and loss that resonate with many of us. Therefore, I have written the following elegy, taking these pieces as my muse. I am not Edvard Munch, But my screams are real. They aren't painted, But left my soul tainted. Can someone steal them? Maybe that would heal me. I am not Dora Maar, But my tears are real. They aren't because of a war, But still shook me to the core. Can someone steal them? Maybe that would heal me. I am not Austrian, But my sad messages are real. They have no news about a dead husband, But my heart is bludgeoned. Can someone steal them? Maybe that would heal me. I am not Van Gogh, But my expressionism in poetry is real. They aren't avant-garde, But I feel charred. Can someone steal them? Maybe that would heal me. I am not a legend...
Why the ambiguous name? Well, though to people around me, I seem like an extroverted person but when it comes to sharing some stuff, I am kind of awkward but I have amazing stories to share. I mostly express myself through "elegy" form of poetry writing and the themes are usually about self-reflection, friendships, loss, love and depressive phase. If you enjoy reading poetry then be a part of my crazy journey and read along :)
