Paws with Flaws

Let me tell you a story rare In a jungle far away from here A camaraderie between an unlikely pair The Tale of a tabby-cat and a Hare Maybe it was summer or the start of fall When they stumbled upon each other But before we go on with their journey Know a bit about the kitty and the bunny The puss seemed dainty but was fierce And the tiny thing had grizzled hair Mighty and reticent was the hare A bit callow but alluring and fair So when they met and started to chat Wondered what's common between a rabbit and a cat But they enjoyed each other's anecdotes and little spats Account of some events and stories of combat To the bunny, the feline was acute and prudent But the kitty too was flawed and full of imperfections Till the time they were frolicking, everything was fine Until one day havoc broke on their lives A fine day when both were strolling through the bushes They discovered ...

Bottled Emotions

Emotions are many but words are few. As beautiful as drops of dew. I can't figure out a way to tell you. I feel they have lost their hue. It feels like I am captured in a bottle, And trying to gasp for air. There won't be a card reading, Handle with care. Trying to hide inside a nutshell; It feels like I am stuck in a deep well. They say time has the power to heal the pain, But when surrounded by dozens of chains, All the efforts seem in vain. There's nothing to do but cry in the rain.

I saw a Friend in You

Hey, folks So, digging through the insane treasure hidden from the world, I found the first ever poem I wrote. Well not technically the first but one which I wrote for a friend. In this maze of life, we find ourselves alone and we feel that we have no one, no one who understands or cares for us but then we find that special someone who knows, who knows all our secrets, who knows all our grins and whims and sorrows and pain and that person is YOU. We are our own best friends :) So, yup, no one is going to save you if you can't save yourself  :) People come and go Some stay and let us know What it feels like to be with you They pull the string Play a song, dance and sing Make you believe that your fairy tale is true And that is when I knew  I saw a friend in you Scared what the world thinks of you Refused to fly and be true They told you not to worry Flap your wings and reach for glory And that is when I knew  I saw a friend in...

BURNING OUT

So much has happened since the fall Losing on, I might have dropped the ball The past keeps lingering on my mind Gotta hold on to something, anything worthwhile I could find Realize this every day and every night No strong will to fight Guess I am just burning out Time and again losing this bout Guess I am just burning out Teardrops in silence no one can hear me shout I have some memories but I want them to faint. Just vanish away, and leave no taint Because all this was not planned for me But screw the plans it was destined to be I may be caught in a blank stare As the head keeps boiling in its own flare Guess I am just burning out Time and again losing this bout Guess I am just burning out Teardrops in silence no one can hear me shout When I started off I gave away my all But was later instructed to start small Broke what I thought was my Porcelain doll It's a choice I made after all Made this error and lost my prime ...

A Bee and the Flowering Quince

In a beautiful garden rare, A little bumblebee frolicked with care. Her eyes were always open wide, Discovering lovely flowers with every stride. She went to all and did the usual meet and greet, Collecting nectar sometimes bitter sometimes sweet. One day fluttering through a known corner, Gazed upon the flowering Quince wrapped in strange armour. Asked around about the captivating quince, They asked her to stay away with a wince. But the humble bee didn't judge a book by the cover,  Flew towards the Quince and started to hover. The Quince was covered with plenty of thorns, But had the sweet fragrance so she didn't bother about the small horns. The shrub was happy with the tiny admirer, Telling her anecdotes which caused such a furore. Every time the bee flittered over, Her wings were battered by the thorny armour.  The bee was going through her own problems, Mentioned to the Quince that she will come after autumn...

Do you remember?

Hey, do you still remember, All the things, we bonded over. Can you name them in one go, Or should I count and let you know? About the course, we would rather do, When we were running from the summer loo. Adventures of Han, Leia and Luke. Who among R2 or BB-8 is cute? Choosing fav from the superhero clan, And shouting friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man 🕷 All the songs that got the fame, While listening to Akcent's That's My Name. Believe me, it's not just these four, If you are ready we can count on some more. The temper tantrums that we threw, The childhood skirmishes as if we were Sun Tzu. The crushes that we had, All the things we did to make each other mad. A bunch of Happy Meals that we ordered, Fighting for the toys and getting them reordered. Splurging our banknotes, Me on Indian coins, you on World currency notes. No, I am not done at eight You might forget but I am not letting them fad...

Want to Go

When you let the 10 years old you write 😃 I want to go back to the time When we said, Let your light shine. I want to go back to the place Where we played, And ran the fun race. I want to go back and eat All the fries and ice, And not worry about the diet to cheat. I want to go back and meet Adorable fuzzy beings, Whom every day I used to greet. I want to go back and make Boxes of crazy artefacts And not ponder over what was at stake. I just want to go If you figure out how, Let me know.
